Where it all began...
I have always enjoyed reading and writing. At just six years old, I began my first collection of children's stories and always hoped that one day, I'd get to publish my very own children's story book.
What inspired me to write.
Today, I'm the mother of two beautiful children.
When they were very young, they asked me to tell them a story. A little crocodile named Ellie came to mind, and I began telling them all about the different adventures Ellie went on with her friends. They adored each adventurous tale and asked for more and more.
For over a year, whenever we had a quiet moment, they’d ask: “Mummy, tell us another Ellie Crocodile story!”.
So, Ellie and her adventures became part of our family. She went everywhere with us: camping, bedtimes, doctor’s surgeries, long car journeys—you name it!
Until one day, I decided to start writing them down.
Ellie the Crocodile goes to gymnastics is the first of these stories to be published.
When I'm not writing...
Outside of author life, I also run my own social media strategy and storytelling business, Telling Tales Media. I really do love being able to bring my passion for storytelling to both these areas of my life.
I live in Surrey (UK) with my husband and two children, and am a huge fan of being outdoors, preferably running, exploring, or generally just keeping active.
I have been lucky enough to travel the world, and lived and worked in New Zealand for over five years.
These days, I love sharing my travel experiences with my family, and heading out to explore our local Surrey area (+ beyond!) whenever we can.
